Magnificat

My cousin has been in my thoughts lately
It must be frightening being with child at such a late age
But she is strong
With haste I travel to her to see if I can be of help
The journey is long and I'm travelling alone
With the exception of my trusted donkey
We leave when the sun awakens
Hopefully, I will be at her home by nightfall
To occupy my mind, I pray, sing songs, recite poetry and think of stories
I love stories
Tired and hungry I knock on my cousin's door.
I expected a servant to open it
But it was my beloved dear cousin
She hugged me
Blessed is the fruit of your womb, the child in my womb just leaped for joy.
A smile appears on my face
I have told no one of my blessed joy
Everything is possible with God
For He is mighty indeed.
